just got back from destination # 2 - Mexico! Azul Resort - in between Cancun and Playa Del Carmen...great place and my second time to get to shoot there. Heather Mabry of Eclectic Images and i got to shoot this one together - yay! I am excited to get to go back in January for Heather's wedding!

Natalie was such a trooper, she fractured her tailbone a few days before the wedding on an excursion (snorkeling?)...so she was a little limpy. she still managed to have a great time and got around surprisingly well. we had a bit of a rain storm right as the ceremony was set to start - but it cleared quickly and everything went off without a hitch. Lance and Natalie's laid back nature never changed as ideas to move the wedding indoors were thrown around... fortunately that didn't have to happen. everything turned out beautifully and everybody had a great time. Carmela of Instyle Weddings and Destinations coordinated and we had blast as usual. I head out tomorrow for Creste Butte, Colorado - # 3 in a row - the cooler weather will be a nice change of pace ;)

I was lucky enough to get to shoot in Napa for the second time this year last saturday for Staci and Chris's wedding. what a cool place!! Di Rosa Preserve - a winery/art gallery with peacocks running around everywhere! Staci knew i was going to love it, and she was right. There was a lot of emotion this day as i am sure you can tell by the pictures - i was choked up behind the camera half the time! and yes, there are a ton of pics of Staci, but come on, look at her! can you blame me? her dress was awesome, one of my favorites so far - and her 'flowers' were beautiful too. We had a great time at the reception - i somehow got the nickname 'Bootleg' (don't ask)... AND, i would love to say more but it's 5am, and i leave in less than two hours for my next destination of three back to back - Playa Del Carmen, Mexico! so check back next week for more fun posts :)

Natalie is my upcoming Playa del carmen, Mexico bride...i leave in a few days for a wedding in Napa - then off to Mexico - it's going to be a very fun month! I am shooting Natalie's wedding with my good friend Heather Mabry so it will be extra fun. we had a great time on this shoot, Natalie and her mom were great sports tromping around east austin with us. can't wait to hang out with you guys again south of the border! ;)

I shot this wedding yesterday, yes, on friday the 13th - a more superstitious person might find that strange - but i am not, and didn't :) everything went off perfectly, great weather minus the heat and everything looked beautiful. Erin and Jack were a lot of fun, as were their friends - i especially loved the man of honor (or the 'manlady' as i liked to call him!) Andrew. And Jack's dad, so hilarious and a crazy dancer - he totally cracked me up. Tanya of Clink coordinated and everything took place at Barton Creek Resort.

aww, Andrew, so sweet. he attended to Erin's every need - it was impressive. he could be a wedding butler.

Blind Date was the band, they kept things going by jumping out on the dance floor with everyone...

I had not met Gina or Ward before the day of their wedding - but i immediately felt like i knew them well, they were such a laid back and FUN group. the guys were hilarious, never a dull moment. the pictures will tell you everything you need to know, yes, that is the groom in his underwear, soaking wet, on the dance floor. it was a first for me. Gina and Ward are so cute and completely in love, it was fun to watch them together. Ward is in a band (i can't remember the name of it, you guys email me and remind me so i can post it here!) so his connections in the music industry got Billy Joe Shaver to play at the reception. how cool is that.

oh, the ceremony took place at The Church of Horseshoe Bay and the reception followed at the Horseshoe Bay Resort. Becca Coile of A Stylish Soiree (she is in Dallas) coordinated.

update: ok, the name of the band is The Boys Named Sue
