how cute is this sign telling their guests where to go... it was a first for me, i loved it!

i hadn't met Jenny (or Matt, but i didn't meet him till the wedding day) until right before the wedding. i met her and her mom and i loved them immediately! i bonded with Jennifer (mom) over vampires, so i knew this was going to be a great wedding :) it may have been 100 degrees, but everything was beautiful. i had never shot at Nature's Point before - great venue on Lake Travis. My good friend Stacy of SMS Photography came along to shoot with me and we had a blast. i will post a link to her blog post here when she gets it up.

i recently donated a portrait session to a silent auction benefitting Austin Pets Alive . the Feng family won and this past saturday we met up at a park for their session - we had fun despite the 100 degree heat. Their sweet 10 year old Golden Retriever would have much rather gone swimming than posed for pictures, but he hung in there.

Support your local pet charities like APA , and consider becoming a foster parent for a rescue - i've worked with the Austin branch of DFW Pug Rescue (now it's own stand alone rescue - Pug Rescue Austin, or PRA... 501c3 certified and website coming soon) and have also worked with the French Bulldog Rescue and Hound Rescue (i have both pugs and a beagle!) but there is a rescue for every breed that desperately needs foster homes and volunteers.

my absolutely stunning friend Laura is getting married June 20th in Colorado, so we took some bridal portraits yesterday. seriously, how could you take a bad picture of her? Madeleine of Jennifer's Gardens did the bouquet and i LOVED it, it was perfect for what i wanted to do... and Jennifer McCamish did makeup, she is new in town and this was my first time meeting her and wow, she did a great job.

Bailey is the 7 year old daughter of one of my closest friends, Angie. Angie and i went to Texas Tech together and have known each other for over 15 years. They came down the last weekend of May to hang out and i took some pics for them - Angie traded me pics for clothes - she owns the Iron Rose boutique in Grapevine, TX. Her store has great stuff, so i was more than happy to barter. As you can see, Bailey is beautiful. She is easy to shoot and a sweetheart too - i miss her!

Monica was my assistant for a while and i asked her if she wanted me to take some pregnancy pictures for her. she and her husband Ryan came over this afternoon and we played around my house - and this is what i came up with! this is their first baby, and she is due next month, july 4th!

this might give some of you a headache..but i loved it...

i had so much fun running around south congress with Kendrick and Jennifer! Jennifer is a ham for the camera, which made my job very easy - she made a great model when she wasn't hamming it up too ;) Kendrick wanted to surprise Jennifer for their 3 year anniversary - he is a photographer as well, and although he's taken tons of pics of Jennifer by herself...they needed some together... that's where i came in...
