an important article...
.........A friend and fellow photographer passed this article on to me and i thought i would post it here...it's important information for anyone looking for their wedding photographer. As professionals, we can try to explain this in words, but it's much more effective to see something like this - a side by side comparison of images from a seasoned professional and an amateur photographer.

brigit and justin's wedding
Brigit and Justin's wedding last weekend at the Sheraton in downtown Austin was great for a lot of reasons. it rained, which you would think might be bad, but, it wasn't... it was cooler, and we had soft diffused lighting coming in thru all the windows in the hotel - and we could only shoot inside which ended up being a nice change of pace because there were a lot of cool graphic elements to the hotel and their was tons of natural light because it was all windows... nice. not only are brigit and justin a great looking couple with really good taste in photographers, they are also very smart - they met at Harvard Business School, or "HBS" (i learned the lingo that night).
Erin of Red Velvet Events coordinated and it was great getting to work with her again, Third Language was the band and the cupcake wedding cake was by Piece of Cake.

teresa and mike's wedding
Last weekend, Teresa and Mike's wedding at Barton Creek Resort was so much fun! Teresa teamed up with CLINK to come up with something fun and unique for their wedding - Mike's last name is Brady, so think Brady bunch and a night at the movies complete with a fully stocked concession stand. Teresa's dress was amazing - as were her flowers - done by Amy of Merveille. Mandy Hernandez did makeup, she does a great job, always love working with her. There was a photo booth from Lonestar photo booths and Illios did the fabulous lighting (check out the walls!).
the balloon release was definitely a first for me though - people who found the balloons with the attached wishes, if they emailed the address on the card a donation was made to the Lance Armstrong Foundation to help fight cancer. what a great idea!
