i took some pictures of my cute niece and nephew today before we head back to Austin tomorrow. it was 25 degrees and Callie Ann was so excited about posing... but isn't she so cute! RJ loves to ham it up for the camera, as long as he can see them right afterwards...

I assisted my good friend Heather Banks of Eclectic Images this January for Carly and Stephen's wedding. we started at Four Seasons for some getting ready and 'first glance' pics - Carly and Stephen were a lot of fun - as was their whole crew. we had a blast dowtown shooting formals... i had fun playing with my fisheye lens while Heather did her thing. that's why i love assisting - you get to play and be creative with less pressure of it being 'your wedding' . me and my photographer girlfriends tend to assist each other fairly often to keep inspired... and we really enjoy shooting together! here are some of my favorites. you can see Heather's blog post here

I had a family portrait session before i left town (i'm in colorado now!) with Erin of Red Velvet Events . Erin is a coordinator that i love to work with so i was honored when she chose me to do pictures for her. The kids were more interested in playing duck duck goose and the pizza promised after the session (totally understandable) and it was like 40 degrees, but we still managed to get some fun stuff...

I wanted to take pictures of my friend Beth as a way to celebrate her finishing chemotherapy for breast cancer. She has had such a positive attitude thru the whole process and I wanted her to have some pictures to remember this time and to show how beautiful she is, with or without hair!
