I love this new venue in Dripping Springs, the Prospect House ! it’s GEORGEOUS!! and, so is my amazing lady here, Meg… I mean come on… this was so much fun to shoot!! Floral by the fabulous Wendee Sawran and this lovely dress is from Alexia Gavela!
Some of you may not know that I regularly foster dogs (and sometimes cats!) to help find them permanent homes. So this post is close to my heart, as an avid animal lover and an advocate for fostering. I went down to Austin Pets Alive yesterday at the request of a friend who works there to take pictures of this sweet lady who is about to pop! She really needs a foster home so she can give birth to her babies in comfort…so APA wanted some images to help get her story out to all our Austin dog lovers! Deliah was at the San Antonio shelter for a month before being pulled to APA, she was super sweet yesterday and really just wanted to get out of the heat and lay her head down in the AC (who can blame her!) If you are interested in fostering her (or adopting, of course!!) or possibly even adopting one of her babies soon to come contact Austin Pets Alive.
You can also help by donating to her care, and the care of her puppies here: www.austinpetsalive.org/donate
and a huge thank you to Wendee Sawran Petals + Decor for personally delivering this flower crown for our not so little lady for her photo shoot!! She really had no interest in wearing it but she allowed me to get a few quick images, with it somewhat awkwardly placed, before letting it slide off her head 😉

Loved this wedding!!! Rachel and Mike are the sweetest and I really had a great time getting to run around with them on their wedding day. Rachel’s dress was one of my all time favorites…and that dance floor!! wow! WHITT was the mastermind behind all this design goodness and Merveille created all the gorgeous floral (get a load of that bouquet). Also Premiere Events , FILO Productions and Sauce The Band!
I had so much fun shooting this!!! Megan with Whole Foods Market and Catering contacted me about photographing this project and I was so all in! So many great details – and look at our gorgeous models! Prospect House is a great backdrop, I really love shooting in their open, modern space. Here is the list of all the fabulous vendors that collaborated on this:
Whole Foods Market Austin (catering, bar setups + chalk signs)
WHITT (design/styling consultant)
Premiere Events (rentals)
D.Sweetpea’s Custom Floral Design
League of Rebels (men’s clothing)
Hoiden Supply Company (women’s styling)
Collective 1969 (hair and makeup)
Bonne Nouvelle Design (invitations)
Carolyn Jane Calligraphy
I was so honored when Courtney asked me to photograph her wedding to John.. in Cancun no less…and with my partner in crime (photo related and otherwise) Stacy of SMS Photography to boot! We had a blast with all the Caplan Miller girls – as you can see, it was super boring with nothing much to shoot 😉 An insane welcome bag, firedancers, a boy band, and fireworks in secret shapes you could only see with special glasses – just a few of the highlights.
See the bottom of the post for everyone who came together to make this wedding weekend happen!
I had never shot at the Houstonian Hotel before – what a great wedding venue and fun hotel! It was raining out so all the pretty greenery outside was sadly mostly unable to be utilized – but fortunately there were still a lot of great options indoors like this very cool deer mural! A nice fireplace made for a cozy and intimate ceremony spot and it was great working with Kelly of Eventology Weddings again – she was the planner for one of my favorite weddings ever a few years back! The gorgeous bouquet and floral was courtesy of Blooming Gallery in Houston.
